My personal style funda is...
Unapologetic, OTT, dramatic, unlike any other person or designer. Often, I know that my broad-brimmed fuscia hat may cause comment, sometimes warm and nice and sometimes bitchy — but I am completely unself-consciousness.

I’m often described as a flamboyant and dramatic designer and a film star among interior professionals! My energy and zest for life, Madhur Bhandarkar and my eccentricities ensure that the label has stuck ever since I returned from Paris ten years ago.
Work versus socialising versus family...
In my growing years one thing was most clear — I wanted to be a twentieth century woman in the twenty-first century. I intended to be smart, presentable and a career woman!
And my husband who was seeing me those days and was in general agreement with me on most subjects, was quite charmed with this vision of myself. I wanted no lord and master to lay down the law.
We would be equals in this patnership, affirming that all human beings are equal and have equal rights. It sounded good. Today, I also realise that to manage a hectic social life, career and home, you certainly need help.
A woman and style, in my opinion, is....
Capable of making a statement without trying too hard.
Possesses effortlessness that shows in everything she does, can be quirky and chic without trying too hard at being fashionable. And goes by her own gut feels about what looks good on her.
